The objective for this project was to create a new logotype for a 4-star and above hotel of our choosing. The hotel of my choice was the Grand Mayan in Los Cabos. Upon researching the resort hotel I discovered that they use imagery inspired by Mayan mythology. I took a liking to the serpent imagery used in statues at the resort and decided to incorporate that into my design. I also decided to incorporate a golden yellow as a part of the logo and branding to provide a feeling of luxury.
